Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Management and staff at a Manchester recovery firm are to settle their differences on TV, Full Monty-style—with a load of balls, The six drivers employed by Manchester Recovery Services in Swinton have been seeing red ever since bosses Dean Jones and Michael Vella suggested they paint the company's five trucks pink and issue staff with pink uniforms, The driver's say it will make them look "like a bunch of fairies" and instead, they want their trucks and work clothes to be blue. But Jones, who took the idea from DynoRod's fleet of pink vans, says it will make MRS— formed just 12 months ago— more recognisable than its competitors whose trucks are mostly yellow. "As long as they're doing their jobs properly, what does it matter to them what colour the trucks areP" asks Jones.

Yet, rather than settle the dispute with the toss of a coin, bosses and workers have agreed to let the National Lottery's "Voice of the Balls" have the final say when the next draw is made on Saturday evening (27 March). If the bonus ball turns out to be an odd number, the drivers will be blue. But if it's an even number, they'll be pretty in pink.

News of the row has reached the BBC, which plans a live link-up to the Swinton depot for the draw. And according to Jones, producers of the Lottery show want the workers to show viewers their true colours by modelling their pink suits a la Full Monty. 'Whatever the outcome," says Jones, "it'll be a right laugh."
