Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AS the Plaxton high-floor Viewmaster coach body is just starting to appear in some numbers on British roads CM has just taken the opportunity to test a 12m Leyland Leopard fitted with this body over our Scottish test route. The Leopard was fitted with a splitter unit to give 10 forward speeds on the semi-automatic gearbox. With the wind behind us the coach flew up the MI and M6 to Scotland, but returning into the wind was very heavy going for the Leyland 680 engine, bringing the overall fuel consumption down to 3L87 litres/100km (8.86mpg).

A full road test report will follow in CM next week.
