AirULTIWHEELERS (COMMERCIAL AVL VEHICLES) LTD., of Southampton Airport, have introduced a 4.24, a 14/15-toncapacity semi-trailer (below) into their standard range. The trailer—Model 1504P—has twinoscillating running gear and is available in 7 ft. 6 in. and 8 ft. widths. General specification includes Highway-Multiwheelers cold rolledsteel side raves—raised or flush. The 15 in. by 34 in pressed-steel main members are pierced to receive continuous rolled-steel angle crossbearers and the fifth-wheel coupling is fitted 2 ft. 6 in. from the front rave. Flooring is 1 in. nominal hardwood longitudinally boarded with a 2 ft. headboard as standard. Eight-stud wheels have 9.00-20 tyres on centre-nave wheels. The 15 4in. x 44 in. brakes are operated by twoline air pressure. Twin-oscillating leaf springs and radius rod suspension are lubrication-free, and the leg gear is vertical-lift, single-speed.
