Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The annual report of the Blackpool and District Char-a-banes Owners' Association refers to the vexed question of street stands. The watch committee has again "sanctioned public stands, with ex

tended privileges. The fact of being able to put more than one motor coach on a stand proved a boon to many proprietors last year It is mentioned that the committee suggested to the watch committee that stands which wore unsatisfactory from a loading standpoint should be moved to better positions, and, with one exception, the association's suggestions were approved.

The association was highly honoured

by the Blackpool Corporation by being asked to take charge of the arrangements for parking grounds for incoming traffic during Carnival Week, and it is recorded in this connection that the large volume of traffic was bandied expeditiously, The president, Councillor J. Leavesley, spoke of the association's intervention in the controversy over the 'elusing of .certain roads in St. Anne's to heavy vehicular traffic. The corporation wanted to run its own buses on certain roads, but wished to preclude members or the association from using the same roads. A public inquiry into the matter is to he held at St. Anne's in the

near future, when the pros and cons of the situation, will be discussed.

The following officers were appointed: President, Coon. James Leavesley ;

Presidents, Messrs. J. W. Dewhurst, J. E. Taylor and J. W. Horsfall ; committee, Messrs. Albert Hodge, R. Marshall, V. Standerwick, J. Hill, E. Butteriyorth H. Milner, D. Robeets' J. Lucas; hon. treasurer, Mr. J. Stead;hon. secretary, Mr. IT. Hardman.

Mr. lionsfall asked whether it would not be wise to extend the organization to include Lytham and St. Anne's. The time was particularly opportune, he said, in view of the approaching inquiry.
