• I am preparing a report on the difference between British and continental police forces' interpretation of tachograph and hours rules.
I am particularly interested in the continental practice of using tachograph evidence to prosecute for speeding.
To assist me could I ask your readers to send me details of incidents where they have been prosecuted on the Continent.
It would help if they could let me know whether they were stopped in a road check or were in a lorry park; whether they were dealt with by police or another enforcement agency; the location and direction of travel and whether laden or not; the make and size of vehicle; what offence was alleged and whether a fine was imposed; how they felt about the treatment they received.
If possible, send a copy of any paperwork issued by the enforcement agency.
