Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Volvo's right-hand-drive F12 tractors will gain electronic diesel control (EDC) this September as part of the Swedish truck maker's programme to meet the forthcoming Euro-1 emissions regulations which come into force in October 1993.

EDC is already standard on Volvo's F16 flagship tractive unit and is an option on the 10litre FLIO and FIO tractors.

From September the F12360 will keep its 255kW (356hp) TD122FH straight-six as standard, but the EDC-equipped TD123E engine will become an option with 3% more torque at 1,600Nm (1,2281bft).

At the same time the 295kW (396hp) 12-litre lump, used in the most powerful F12-400 tractor, will be super seded by the 302kW ( 405hp) TD123ES EDC engine.

Although Volvo Trucks GB has yet to release dates it is hoping to make EDC standard on all its 10, 12 and 16-litre engines.
