Delta deals

TWO DELTA Group subsidiary companies have signed contract hire agreements with Midlands BRS.

Delta Rods, based at Wolverhampton and West Bromwich, and Delta Drawn Metals, of Birmingham, have transferred 23 of their existing 16-ton dropside vehicles to MBRS, which vcill contract hire them back to the companies.

The Delta operation will be managed from branches in the West Midlands.

A £500,000 scheme to extend Immingham's common user roro ferry terminal has been announced by Assoicated British Ports.

A new container park with security fencing is being provided as part of a 2.1 hectare extension of the terminal area, which is handling 36 per cent more business than it did when it opened in 1980.
