Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

.Besides clocks, a lubricant marketed by Southern Watch and Clocks Supplies Ltd can be applied to timers, relays and other precision equipment. It is said to be suitable for use when lubrication and repairs without disassembly are carried out, or when overhaul or modification becomes due.

It is claimed to be a non-gumming dry lubricant which does not attract dirt or dust, and to have a heat range of between 60deg and 100deg F and to contain an effective rust inhibitor.

Its application is simple, and by mixing one 8oz bottle of Miracle Plastic Lubrication with 2gal of standard brand watch rinse or a mixture of 50 per cent Stoddard solvent and 50 per cent chiorothen or any chlorinated solvent a wellbalanced mixture will be obtained. A slightly higher percentage of chlorinated solvent may be used to obtain a quicker drying time.

Articles to be lubricated are dipped into the solution and then placed under a heat lamp or a suitable dryer at 125 to 150deg F for a period of 5 to 10 min to dry and cure the plastics.

Marketed by: Southern Watch and Clock Supplies Ltd, 48/56 High Street, Orpington, Kent, BR6 OJH.

Price: £12.75 per 8oz bottle (sufficient for 2gal).
