Tilting-platform Self-loading Trailer Removing Pests and Oil AMOW available from Bradville Ltd. is a preparation for I quickly removing dead insects from the front of vehicles. This Insect Remover, available in a large aerosol can, is sprayed. on to the affected area. allowed to soak in and then v,iped off. It is 'claimed to be effective not only for removing dead insects from windscreen, .radiatOr grilles and headlamps, but also for removing grease and oil from any part of a vehicle.

Tape Unit for Buses and Coaches nESIGNED for use on buses and coaches, the new 1 PIRCM

tape player unit developed by Reditune Ltd. provides an easily-operated system • of background music for passengers. The unit, briefly described on page 39 of the June II issue of The Commercial Motor, is housed in a strong case measuring 9 in. by 21in. by 10 in. This unit can be installed in any available space. such as the luggage rack of a coach (see picture below, left). Controls. which haye been reduced to a Minimum, consist of volume control, cassette ejector knob, and pilot light. The unit can be linked up with the existing radio or public address system, or with the Reditune TP14 power amplifier (price £24 10s.).

Cassettes are available on a rental basis and they can be easily exchanged during the rental period; each Cassette contains a 60-minute programme. The rental charge, it is understood, would range from £28 per year for four cassettes to £100 for 16 cassettes: in addition, a fee has to be paid to the Performing Rights Society, this being a matter for negotiation between the operator and the Society.

THE 4TP80—a 4-ton-capacity, tilting-platform. self-loading 1 trailer---has been added to the range produced by Richard Maurice Equipment Co. The trailer is constructed of hollow rectangular sections, with reinforced major' welds, and the independent rubber suspension has progressive rate and damp

ing action. Running gear comprises 7-50-16 tyres on heavy-duty wheels and hubs. Cranked axles ensure very low platform height and give .a gentle loading incline.

Tilting and levelling is controlled hydraulically; a hand-pump is mounted on the drawbar, which operates two rains situated on each side of the platform. Provision can be made to operate from a power pump on the towing vehicle. The platform remains in a tilted position whilst .wheeled equipment is driven on—no Manual effort is therefore required to load any self-propelled machine. For other .types of machine, a winch can he provided. for loading purposes. When travelling, the platform-is secured by two strong locks, operated by a single lever.

Low-friction Lubricant A NEW low-friction lubricant, called Rocol AS Spray, is-. t-1 now available from Rocol Ltd. This lubricant which, it is claimed, will not rub off, is intended for the pre-treatment of parts before assembly, so providing initial lubrication essential when first starting a rebuilt engine, gearbox. and so on.

The lubricant, packed in an aerosol can, consists principally of molybdenum disulliphide. It has many applications. •
