• Hauliers who lost thousands of pounds when clearing house Intrapac Holdings went under last November owing £400,000, say they have still not received any payment.

The Liverpool-based operation offered work to hauliers nationwide. Its debts to trade creditors — which include hauliers — total more than £200,000.

CAT Nationwide Carriers of Somerset says it has not received "a penny" of the £2,840 it is owed. Deadmans Transport of Kent has written off £1,109 and W Felton of Oldham, who lost £1,155, now deals with few clearing houses.

Larger creditors include BFI and the John Dee Group, which have both gone into receivership.

Intrapac's final accounts mention a BJ O'Brien as a director and CM has been told he is the same Bernard O'Brien who is now executive chairman of Eezee Euro Services.
