• Major repairs to the M27 between Junctions 5 (Stoneham) and 7 (Hedge End) will last for about eight weeks.
A contraflow will be in operation, with peak hour queues expected at Junction 5. A mandatory 50mph speed limit is in force.

• Rank Motorway Services will open its latest service station at Junction 47 of the M4 near Swansea on 9 August. Facilities include a 50-bedroom lodge, cash dispenser and Yorkies transport diner for HGV drivers.
