LONDON TRANSPORT has commissioned consultancy group W. S. Atkins to undertake studies aimed at improving the engineering management performance of London buses.
A team from the human resources development department *I Atkins Planning is looking at the possibility of applying testing attic training methods for managers and supervisors in two of LT's ei* bus districts. Atkins have also been commissioned to carry out an audit ji) maintainance procedures and to design a computer-based wcirl analysis reporting system.
Consultants on these projects are working under LT projeo leaders and with local managers who take over the development the end of the year. The projects are aimed at improving bus avai bility and reliability.
