A NEW Kangaroo trailer, with body constructed in grp, has been developed by York Trailer Company and has been designed to provide increased load security over conventional tilt Kangaroo trailers, without any increase in weight.

The 12.2m (40ft) SL38 WS/KM has been designed to operate at 38 tons gcw and has body panels throughout made from grp laminated plywood, including front bulkhead, sides, three-piece roof and rear doors. Internal cube is 69.02cum (2,465euft).

The first unit to go into service is with Rycroft European Transport of Poole, Dorset, and it will be used on groupage deliveries to Spain.
