Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Perhaps it's the present economic climate but there seem to be fewer and fewer characters in road haulage these days. So it is perhaps worth telling the tale of one character who still goes about in Yorkshire. 'Unfortunately, he has to remain nameless.

Recently, Yorkie went along to another operator who had several small-size new tyres to dispose of. When he found they were to cast £060 he left with the remark : "They're too dear for me but I will try to find you another customer." Sure enough a few days later he came back to say that a customer had been found at £60; he took the tyres, paid for them, and deducted £10 as his commission.

• Try to imagine how the seller felt when he found a few days later that the tyres were lying in Yorkie's yard. He is the kind of ,character who obviously thrives on sharp deals. Recently, he was asked to send a tractive unit to tow back a disabled coach from the South of France. After much arguing on the way into France the crew persuaded customs officials that the vehicle was a breakdown truck, not a goods vehicle, and therefore did not require documentation.

On the return journey with the coach in tow they were halted at a toll gate. After the cashier had charged the driver his toll he made for the bus only to find it on the end of a taw chain and passing him at speed into the night. These are not the kind of activities which might endear Yorkie Ito officialdom but occasionally— only ocica:sionaliy—they're good for a laugh.
