Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW high-power model has been added to Ford's D-series range of trucks. Designated the D1114 and plated for 11 tons gvw, the chassis features the 111.8kW (140bhp) turbocharged engine seen in larger vehicles in the range.

The engine replaces the normally aspirated 79kW (106bhp) six-litre engine usually fitted to Ford's 11-ton chassis and provides a power to weight rat:.o of 9.4kW/ tonne (12.8bhp/ton).

Five wheelbases are available-3.04, 3.4, 3.9, 4.6 and 5.2m (120, 134, 156, 182 and 206in). In standard form the chassis is supplied with Ford six speed all-synchromesh transmission and single-reduc tion rear axle. An eight-speed synchromesh transmission is available as an option.

The vehicle has been designed for inter-city and urban delivery where the extra engine power should improve journey times considerably.
