Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Two accidents involving overturned trucks and cars have claimed the lives of two women in less than a fortnight.

The first incident happened when a truck carrying 20 tonnes of rubble crushed a car, killing its 30-year-old woman driver near her workplace in Birkenhead. The Moreton, Wirral-based truck driver escaped with minor injuries.

His truck is reported to have overturned on a bend at the bottom of a hill. A road tanker overturned at the same spot two years ago but Wirral councillor and transport chief Harry Smith denies there is a problem with the design of the road.

A 53-year-old woman was killed when a white Scania artic overturned in the Cross Green area of Leeds.

The truck, which was loaded with scrap metal, crushed her blue Rover 218; the truck driver was not injured. Yorkshire police are appealing for witnesses. Contact 0113 241 3647.
