THE possibility of more road develop' ments in the north east was foreshadowed in the Commons this week by Mr. John Hay.
He told Dame Irene Ward (Conservative, Tynemouth) that in consultation with his colleagues, Mr. Marples would be considering this possibility in the light of discussions which Lord Hailsham, the north east's "overlord ", will be having with local authorities in the area.
