Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Preparation is the key with Tarpaul and really does determine how good the finished job will be. For the best results the buckles should be removed before the curtain is washed with a quality TFR from a hot jet washer and thoroughly degreased. Allow two hours—one hour each side—for preparation.

The beauty of this process is that it can be completed while the vehicle is in the workshop for its annual test or during other repair work. Painting a 13.6m trailer takes four hours, after which it must be left standing for 12 hours to ensure the paint has hardened. The curtains are painted on the vehicle under tension, which makes things more straightforward.

Tarpaul is available in an infinite range of colours, off the shelf. At present there are two authorised outlets: Paynes at Aylesford (contact 01622 718645) and Al International in Malden (contact 01621 740741). Checkmate plans to establish a UK network of up to 15 application centres.

Approaches from interested parties, with the appropriate bodyshop facilities, will be welcomed.
