• A new emergency locking seat belt retrac tor, called Clear Retractor, is available from Securon.
Not only is the casing clear so that the sensing pendulum can be seen to aid correct installation, but the whole unit is around 49% smaller than existing retractors. The maker says the unit is ideal for installation in commercial vehicles including buses, coaches and minibuses.
The unit also has a specially profiled metal cover designed to prevent abuse. It is
available in lap and lap-and-diagonal belt forms, in several different versions to suit all mounting requirements.
