Smiths Flour Mills has added a Germanmade Feldbinder 53m3 four-pot bottom-discharge powder tanker to its fleet of 14 bulker trailers. This is the first Feldbinder tanker to enter the UK flour, foodstuffs and milling market it uses BPW tri-axle air-suspended running gear with a self-tracking rear axle.
The enclosed and silenced MAN GHH CG80 Ecopak compressor is rated at 2.0 Bar but controlled at 1.5 Bar: it is powered by an aircooled Deutz diesel.
Smith's says it can drop a full payload in 45 minutes at 0.6 Bar.
