Trailers has been bought from the receiver by Atalanta Engineering, which manufactures diesel generators.
The Chertsey, Surrey-based buyer is expected to expand the workforce from 25 to 35—the number employed before Andover Trailers called in the receiver last December. It plans to encourage the specialist trailer builder to increase its exports.
Less than 10% of the output is exported at the moment, says former managing director Len Fuller who is now joint general manager with former sales director Ivan Collins.
The range is to be expanded, starting with a new low-height trailer.
