No more overloading

AN ACCURATE weighbridge on site can help operators avoid the legal problems of overloading, and also the possible loss in revenue through underloading. The 5155 surface-mounted weighbridge from Avery offers the benefits of pre-stressed, precast concrete design for those sites that dictate a surfacemounted model.

Developments in technology by Avery allow the use of two modules of 5 x 3m or 6)< 3m (16ft 4in x 9ft 10in or 19ft 8in x 9ft 10in) — to form a weighing platform from 5 to 22m (16ft 4in to 72ft 2in) in length.

Each module has a steel fabricated transom at each end which incorporates the load-cell assembling. The transom also acts as an end curb on the outer modules, and has buffer stops which absorb excessive transverse loads.

The weighbridge is only 33.2cm (13in) high. The load cells are located near the platform edge, allowing easy access for servicing.

By combining the 5155 weighbridge with the Avery CTH instrumentation unit and the 8628 printer, a complete information system for incoming and outgoing loads can be achieved.

The 5155 weighbridge can also form an integral part of the Avery Weighlink system, which provides a single work station at. which data is collected and stored for documentation such as invoices, summarised for stock control, and if required downloaded to a central computer.
