Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new approach has been made to deep folding-side bulk bodies by Seadyke Freight Systems Ltd at its body division, Wisbech St Mary, Cambs.

Whereas in the past on body depths exceeding some 3ft 10in, it has generally been necessary to have a double fold with the top section folding under the main section, Seadyke has developed a system of keeping the 3ft 10in deep main section to fold flat, while any extension on this height is in the form of removable side panels which needn't be used at all if the capacity of the load does not warrant it These loose panels, constructed from hollow plank section, as are the main side panels, are carried beneath the main panels when laid flat if required.

The body, as with all folding-side models produced by the company, uses the specially designed extruded section seal on the hinge joints which not only prevents bulk materials coming out but water going in.

The illustrated outfit for Lindis Transport Ltd, is a Model SDPF /21 /5.5 /, being 2Ift long by 5ft 6in deep, fitted with an Edbro 5LN front end tipping gear, giving a payload of 14+ tons within the 22 tons of the AEC Marshal 6-wheel chassis. The body weight only is 1 ton 12cwt complete with tipping gear. The vehicle is to be used for bulk coal, coke grain and general palletized traffic.

This new design is available in all sizes of the range of Seadyke SDPF bodies, which are between I6ft and 261t long, available as either chassis-mounted or complete in matched unit tipping trailer form.
