Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE County Council aims to move trucks off rural roads and back onto motorways. This follows the "Great Gloucestershire Debate", which revealed increasing concern about the impact of trucks on roads not shown on HGV maps.

County councillor Charles Gillams says: "There are safety issues related to HG Vs using small or unsuitable roads, and lorries are much more destructive to the road surface and adjacent properties than cars."

Local haulier Eric Vick, of Eric Vick Transport, says: "We have to use rural roads for our deliveries, They can't force you off there."
