Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

KENT-MOORE UK has introduced a universal cylinder leakage tester to their existing Dieseicare and Serviceaid range of engine service tools and equipment.

The KM 4014 is similar to a compression tester, except that it requires no specific compression figures. Using the KM 4014 the area of leakage can be easily identified, although the engine need not be running or turned over on the battery.

The tester incorporates a pressure regulator, a large dual scale gauge 100-0 per cent leakage/060 psi, tamper-proof restrictor, hoses, quick fit connectors and a 14-18 mm spark plug hole adaptor. The KM 4014 is an integral unit in a strong steel storage carry case and can be used to indicate defective intake and exhaust valves, piston or rings and faulty head gasket or cracked engine block.

To adapt the KM 4014 for use on diesel engines, dummy injectors have been produced for most engines fitted with clamp or screw-in injectors. Kent-Moore Ltd, Diesel Products Division, 19-21 Stockfield Road, Birmingham B27 6AJ.
