PLAYING his first round of golf in two years when he entered Volvo Trucks nationwide golf competition, Peter Rawlinson, a Sudbury grain merchant, had incredible luck. He holed in one on the eighth hole at Thetford and won a £14,000 Volvo 760 car provided jointly by Duffields of Norwich and Volvo Trucks parts division at Irvine.
That's the good news. The bad news is that it was stolen the same evening. But all was not lost. The police found the car and returned it unblemished next morning.
