THE DUSTMEN'S derby is on again. More than 150 four-man teams of salvage executives, armed with Seddon Atkinson dustcarts with Perkins turbocharged engines, will demonstrate "stamina, coordination and driving skill" in regional heats in September. The fairest of them all will fight it out in the final in Birmingham in October.
As a tie-break, contestants will have to prize a Christmas box of not less than £5 out of a reluctant householder at 6 o'clock on a freezing December morning, without explosives.
