PARCELS carrier Lex Wilkinson has specified Maxaret anti-lock braking equipment produced by Anti-Skid Controls as standard on 10 new Volvo F10 and Mercedes-Benz 1628 4x2 tractive units.
The Maxaret CR system will be fitted to the vehicle's drive axles. Lex intends to purchase 13 more Maxaret equipped tractive units later this year.
For its semi-trailers, Lex Wilkinson has specified Maxaret MDR microprocessor based units, which were announced earlier this year and have now been type approved for most makes of trailer.
Lex Wilkinson will fit it on Saxon and Tidd box van trailers.
Sensing on the Maxaret system is effected by a toothed ring on the propshaft flange or at the wheel hubs.
