JOHN GILBERT has been appointed continental services manager for National Express from August 20 in succession to David Randall, who was recently appointed marketing manager.

Mr Gilbert, joins National Express from Euroways, where he had been operations manager for the past five years. He joined the coach industry in 1970 with Skills of Nottingham and moved in 1973 to Wallace Arnold, where he held a variety of posts before his promotion to Euroways, its continental services division.
