THE following statement was issued on Monday by Sir Henry Spurrier, chairman and managing director, Leyland Motors, Ltd.:— " Leyland Motors. Ltd., have decided that they must streamline and integrate the Standard-Triumph International organization into the parent company at an early date. Mr. A. S. Mr. Dick joined Standards as an apprentice in 1934, when he was 18 years old. He became chief buyer in 1940, and subsequently was appointed assistant to Sir John Black, and later succeeded Sir John as managing director.
