Exports of rubber manufactures from the United States in the first half of 1925 are valued at 23,857,173 dollars, an increase of 20 per cent over the figure for the same period of 1924 and larger than exports of any similar period since the peak year of 1920.
Exports of pneumatic casings, which amounted to 803,790, valued at 9,427,601 dollars, reached their highest points during March, April and May, but showed a considerable decline in June, which may have been due to the • confused price situation. However, the unit value of casings in June was higher than in any other month of this period. Argentine was the leading market, taking 95,287 automobile casinos, Great Britain took 77,055, Brazil 65'7162, Denmark 54,632, Mexico 41,371, Australia 40,883, Cuba 40,105.
Solid-tyre exports amounted to 55,040, valued at 1,414,918 dollars. The United Kingdom was the principal destination for tyres of this class, and imported 13,994, whilst Australia imported 7,822, Cuba 7,449, New Zealand 3,261, Japan 2,834, Argentina 1,987.
