Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Karen Miles • A LK lorry driver who has been trapped for nearly two weeks on the Greek-Turkish border in a dispute over British beef is no nearer to returning home despite further negotiations between his company and the Greek authorities.

Michael Maguire, driving for Ralph Davies, is staying with his truck and consignment of British beef on the Greek side of the border waiting for papers from a Greek vet which will allow him to come home."But the Greek vet is simply refusing..." ,=ays Ralph Davies. "I think the beef will probably end up being burnt."

Maguire was taking his load through Turkey for delivery to American airforce bases when the BSE crisis arose. He had already dropped half his load at Izmir, but by the time he reached Incurlik on the Syrian border the ban was in effect. He was turned away at the gates of the base and forced to wait for the export papers to allow him back home.

When he received them Greece wouldn't let him in, saying the beef was banned, and Turkey won't let him h; 'k.
