A range of fluorescent lighting inverters has been introduced by Smart and Brown. The range includes models that operate fluorescent tubes from 8W to twin 30W tubes at either 12 or 24V. To facilitate installation, plug and socket termination is standard, with the plug incorporating a vibration-proof latch.
The range is claimed to be ideal for all battery applications, but particularly for public service vehicles.
