On the bus and coach front this week Graeme Varley has been appointed assistant traffic manager of the South Wales Transport Company with effect from the beginning of November.

Mr Varley, 29, joined the industry in 1969 as an NBC senior management trainee.

The new position of development engineer at NBC's London headquarters is being filled by Alan Gurley, at present chief engineer of the Hants and Dorset company.
