The Executive Committee of this Association met last week, at 1„Mbemarle Street, W., when the Chair was taken by Colonel R. E. Crompton, C.B., and there was a good attendance of members. Various interesting matters were upon the agenda paper.

Electros for letter headings.—The suggestion that members of the Association should be supplied with electros for use in the course of their ordinary correspondence was approved in principle, and the details were left in the hands of the Secretary.

Commercial Vehicle Trials.—An interim report of the judges representing the Association was received, both in regard to the general course of the

trials and the special award, offered by the Association, for cleanliness in regard to oil droppings.

Commercial Motor prize scheme-The entry forms and schedules in connection with this were received from Mr. Shrapnel! Smith, and it was left in the hands of the Secretary, acting jointly with Mr. Shrapnel! Smith, to approve these for issue to members. It was decided that the prize money of

.20, which is offered for distribution in December, should be divided into a first prize of ,4'5, three prizes of La each, and nine prizes of Li each. Colonel Crompton stated his willingness to add a special " Chairman's Prize " of .4:5, for award to the driver

who may prove to have performed the best act of adroitness in avoiding an accident.

Kensington Borough Council.—The case of Messrs. Wild and Robbins was again considered, and it was resolved that further legal opinion should be taken on the case.

Work Bridge.—It was resolved, in support of Messrs. William Charlton and Company, members of the Association, and, in response to a request from the National Traction Engine Owners' and Users' Association, that a sum not exceeding four guineas should be contributed to the estimated cost of examining and reporting. ,upon the condition of this bridge.
