HE Joint Industry Council for Lift Truck Operating Standards & Vocational Qualifications has published standards for lift truck operatives. To obtain an N/SVQ, candidates must demonstrate competence in the following units:.

* preparing a lift truck for operation * driving a lift truck * transferring and positioning loads * fitting and removing attachments * establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues * contribute to the health and safety of the working environment * contribute to the effectiveness of the production programme Successful candidates will achieve a level 2 N/SVQ.

RTITB Services Ltd (RSL) has been accredited as an awarding body by the NCVQ. The Association of Industrial Truck Trainers has been accredited as an awarding body by both NCVQ and SCOTVEC.
