Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE BURMAH-Castrol Award, which is presented for an original and constructive short paper on a set subject, is to be repeated in 1985.

The subject for 1985 will be "Future trends in automotive and industrial planned maintenance".

The prize fund, which is now £250, will be awarded either in total to a single entrant or divided in proportions deemed appropriate by the judging panel between two, or a maximum of three, entrants.

In addition a commemorative silver medal will be presented to the overall winner and certificates of merit to the runnersup.

The award which was introduced in 1975, is sponsored by Burmah-Castrol and administered by the Institute of Engineers and Technicians. There are no restrictions regarding qualifications for entry.

The awards will be presented to the winners at the annual dinner of the institute in London in November 1985.
