MORE than 2,000 pirates were crushed beneath the wheels of a 1924 John Fowler steam engine in a builder's yard in Dublin.
The pirates were not the seafaring kind but illegal copies of video tapes seized from shops all over the Republic of Ireland by members of the Irish National Federation Against Copyright Theft.
Captain Kidd was not available to comment.
