AYRSHIRE-BASED Maxi Haulage recorded its highest turnover to date, helping turn a £200,000 loss into a pre-tax profit of more than £800,000 last year.
Turnover for the financial year ending 30 September 2006 was £23.3m; up from £21.1m in 2005. Pre-tax prof it was £826.000, against a loss of £202,323 in 2005.
The company underwent a reorganisation last year, shutting its depots at Andover and then Manchester, which it plans to relocate.
It says the upturn in trading has continued in 2007.
