Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Rerauft has revealed the pricing details of the new Trafic which will go on sale here in the autumn.

It seems that the gloves are now off in the joint launch programme, as Renault's prices appear to undercut the Vivaro despite the Trafic's higher specification.

The entry leve11.9dCi 80 2.7tanner is priced at £11995 (exVAT and delivery charges), including a full steel bulkhead and an RDS radio/single-disc CD. This compares with the £12,925 on-the-road price of the equivalent Vauxhall, which has a radio-cassette and no bulkhead. However, the Renault's threeyear warranty has a 60,000-mile knit while Vauxhall's is good for 100,000 miles.

• Lower down the weight scale, Renault has answered the only major criticism of the Kangoo with a turbo-diesel version. The 118(kfli produces BOhp at 4,000rpm and 160Nm at 2,000rpm. Its CR has been increased by -mg to 1,895kg to accommodate the slightly heavier engine while retaining an 000kg gross payload.

The on-the-road price is £9,400 (ex-VAT); a new 1.5-litre common-rail version is expected later in the year.
