SERVICING costs for all Toyota commercial vehicles sold in the United Kingdom have been cut with the introduction of new service schedules by Toyota (GB) Ltd.

UK operating conditions has allowed the intervals between major services to be substantially increased, cutting the chargeable time for labour on average by more than 50%. Toyota Hi Ace and Hi Lux commercial-vehicle servicing hours have been reduced, from

21.5 hours to 11.8 hours OVE 20,000 miles.

Toyota says that by deletin, some service operations whic no longer need such frequer attention, the previous majc service interval of 6,000 mile or six months has been change to 10,000 miles or 12 monthE with an oil change and interir service at 5,000 miles or si months. Oil changes for gee' boxes and back axles are no scheduled at 20,000-mile c two-yearly intervals.
