Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A The British Association for Commercial

and Industrial Education, 16. Park Crescent, Regent's' Park, London, W1 , published a training manual entitled A Training Officer's Guide to the Education System of Great Britain, price 7s 6d to members and 10s to non-members. Although it is written with special reference to education for engineering trainees, it should be of value in a wider field.

This training manual, the third edition of which was published in January 1968. has grown out of notes first issued for BACIE course members. These were requests for copies from technical colleges running courses for training officers as well as from companies organizing internal courses, and they were therefore published as a manual.

In all there are 30 sections to this manual together with two appendices of useful addresses and bibliography.

The first section deals with the department of Education and Science and the Scottish Education Department followed by local education authorities. Other information includes school leaving dates up to 1973, data as to day and block release and the City and Guilds of London Institute. In total it comprises a considerable amount of information not otherwise available.
