• A new service depot has been set up by Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd., at the Polo grounds Industrial Estate, New Inn, Pontypool.
The location of the depot is between A40 and M50 to the north, and A48 and M4 to the south and is therefore well placed for access from this area of South Wales. Mr. G. A. Jones, who has served a period in the company's London office, has been appointed manager of the new branch.
A comprehensive range of spare parts is held and the services include the fitting of fifth-wheels, cargo discharge pumps, compressors and automatic chassis lubrication systems. Frame straightening, conversion of rigid vehicles to articulated tractive units and brake modifications to comply with changing regulations are also carried out. Roadside repairs within a suitable radius of the depot will be undertaken and overthe-counter sales or delivery of spare parts is offered.
