Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Although it has a couple of Wilcox-bodied vehicles, Leiths runs mostly PPG bodies on its tippers and the FMXs are no exception. All have been fitted with PPG aluminium bodies for the carriage of coated stone as well as aggregates.

Leiths does operate some steel-bodied vehicles, but only for use in its demolition business. The FMX bodies measure 21ft, Sins long internally and are 22ft long externally.

The use of Harsh underfloor gear allows for a longer body to be specified, the payload to be edged further forward and weight more evenly distributed. The FMXs are fitted with gear from Harsh’s Ultimate range, which the company claims is 76kg lighter than its nearest competitor.

All this kit and the 100-plus pieces of highcapital cost construction plant and machinery operated by Leiths is looked after in its own workshops, says chairman Ian Leith. “We can handle just about anything from repairing loader buckets to the aluminium welding on tipper bodies.”
