KNIGHTS OF OLD wants authority for 30 vehicles and the same number of trailers at the base of its customer Jas Bowman and Sons in Hitchen, Hertfordshire.
The haulier, based in Kettering, Northants, says the crossdock facility at the site will allow it to develop more services in Herts and London.
Family-owned Jas Bowman and Sons is one of the UK’s leading lour millers Knights of Old moved into the facility on 1 March, and will be employing up to 30 new staff at the site.
Ian Beattie, Knights of Old MD, says: “This is a great opportunity for us and we are focused on expanding our business in this area.
“With the recruitment of 30 plus local people, we hope to develop links with the local community.”
