ONE OF THE FIRST time exhibitors at this year’s CV Show will be the Ovik Group, a military consultant and vehicle supplier that is breaking into the civilian market.

On stand 4D140 the irm, based in Holton Heath, Dorset, will display two of its Chameleon vehicles. These are based on a 4x4 Iveco Daily chassis, but have a modular body that allows quick conversions for different roles.

VID Duncan Hermer says the vehicle is a potential cost saver to local authorities as it could be used for different roles. The same base chassis can be mounted with modules for snow ploughing, gritting, tipping or waste disposal, for example. He adds: “This could be particularly useful because snow ploughs, for instance, are generally only needed for a few days each year.” The show runs at Birmingham NEC from 12-14 April. See p16 for more on the CV Show.
