Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MERCEDES-BENZTrucks gets a new boss on 1 April: 44-year-old Spanish-born Hubertus Troska, currently CEO of MercedesAMG, has been appointed head of business unit trucks, Europe/ Latin America.

Current truck chief Klaus Maier has been promoted to be head of sales and marketing at Mercedes Car Group.

Bilbao-born Troska — an economist and linguist by training—joined the former Daimler-Benz AG in 1988, following four years in the construction business After a brief period in the sales organisation at its Stuttgart headquarters he performed various management functions within the truck business unit in Mexico and the USA.

In 1997, he took over the sales and marketing management of Mercedes-BenzTruckAS, moving to a management position in sales and marketing within Mercedes Car Group in 2000.

Illaska has a tough act to follow: Maier is said to have performed miracles with the CV side of Mercedes-Benz, overseeing one of the division's most profitable periods of growth.

Maier, who is an unashamed truck enthusiast, should now be seen as being in the running for the top management job at DaimlerChrysler commercial vehicles. This division is currently headed up by Andreas Renschler.

The CV business is becoming an increasingly important factor in DaimlerChrysler's global success, with rumours of a divestment from the central organisation never too far away
