Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

carrying nuclear warheads received an embarrassing airing last week as the Defence Select Committee studied the vehicles' performance.

The all-parly committee heard that eight Fodens taken on since July 1992 by the Ministry of Defence have since cost the Ministry £60,000. The eight-wheeler 4000 Series-derivatives have suffered braking and fuel pump problems, with the most recent faults occurring in January this year. There have been 21 breakdowns or stops because of mechanical worries while the vehicles carried the warheads.

After the hearing, the MoD said: "The vehicles are very good indeed but there must be teething problems with any product we buy." Foden declined to comment.
