MR. ANTHONY M. BROWNE, chairman and managing director of Hackbridge and Hewittic Electric Co., Ltd., has been elected president of the British Electrical and Allied Manufacturers' Association. MR. H. H. MULLENS, chairman and managing director of A. Reyrolle and Co., Ltd , has been elected deputy chairman. MR. K. B. HARRISON has been appointed commercial vehicle sales manager of Parker and Son (Automobiles). Ltd., Bedford. He was formerly fleet sales manager of Dodge Brothers (Britain), Ltd.
MR. E. F. CHOPPEN Will rejoin the board of Esso Petroleum Co., Ltd., on April 4 after completing a year's assignment with Standard Oil Company (New Jersey) in New York. MR. L. B. JoimrsoN has also been appointed a director of the company.
ALDERMAN E. E. WyNNE, 44-year-old chairman of Blackpool transport committee, is to be Blackpool's deputy mayor during the municipal year that
begins in May. Aid. Wynne said last week: "It is a wonderful honour, and I am delighted to have this further opportunity of serving a town I love so very much."
MR. A. J. WELLS, son of MR. P. W. WET_LS, assistant managing director of Steel Barrel Scammells and Associated Engineers, Ltd., flas rejoined the group after spending 21 years in America and Canada where he gained valuable experience in aluminium tank fabrication and design. I-le is now engaged on development at the Steel Barrel Co., Ltd.
