THE need for more money to provide

"much-needed publicity" was stressed by Mr. J. B. Mitchell, national chairman of the Road Haulage Association, at the annual dinner of the Yorkshire (Hull) area last Friday. " Few people outside our industry are really interested without much more effort on our part to publicise our activities," he said.

Referring to recent licensing cases, in which the Association found themselves in "the unusual position of supporting legal action against a member," Mr. Mitchell advised members to take initial steps to protect their interests by the examination of regional applications and decisions and to draw their area secretary's attention to any unusual application.
